Bala Shark
Balantiocheilos melanopterus

Adult bala sharks inhabit large tropical rivers and connected floodplain waters in Southeast Asia. They are active omnivores, feeding on aquatic invertebrates, insects, algae, and plant debris. Despite their shark-like shape and name, they are peaceful cyprinid fish rather than true sharks.
