Himalayan Crocodile Newt
Tylototriton verrucosus

Adults inhabit moist montane woodland, especially around quiet pools used for breeding. They move slowly through leaf litter and hunt worms, insects, and other small invertebrates, often becoming more active in wet weather. Prominent warty ridges along the body give this newt its crocodile-like appearance, while toxic skin secretions discourage attackers.
