Mekong Giant Catfish Fingerling
Pangasianodon gigas (fingerling)
This young catfish lives in the flowing channels and flooded margins of the Mekong Basin. It feeds mainly on algae, tiny plant matter, and small drifting food particles while staying close to cover and calmer water. Fingerlings grow quickly, but remain vulnerable to larger fish and river predators.
