Pine Ladybird
Brumus quadripustulatus
The adult pine ladybird lives on conifers, shrubs, and woodland edges, especially where aphid colonies occur. It flies between plants to hunt aphids and other small sap-feeding insects with its biting mouthparts. Its dark wing cases bear four pale red or orange spots, though these markings can be variable.
