Banded Coral Shrimp
Stenopus hispidus

Adult banded coral shrimp inhabit sheltered crevices on tropical coral reefs, usually emerging at night to forage. They eat small invertebrates, dead animal matter, and parasites picked from visiting fish. Their exceptionally long white-banded claws are used in conspicuous displays and in cleaning interactions with reef fish.
