Delicate Sea Anemone
Radianthus malu

The delicate sea anemone inhabits shallow, sandy or rubble-strewn tropical reefs, anchoring its base securely to the seabed. Its tentacles spread around the oral disc to catch small fish and drifting invertebrates. Stinging cells inject venom to immobilize prey and discourage predators. This species may shelter small commensal animals among its tentacles.
