Large-Legged Bug
Leptoglossus zonatus

The adult large-legged bug occupies fields, orchards, gardens, and other plant-rich habitats across warm parts of the Americas. It feeds by piercing fruits, seeds, and stems, and may become a pest of crops such as maize, citrus, and pomegranate. Its widened hind legs are a notable feature, while scent glands produce a strong-smelling secretion that discourages predators.
