Banded Garden Spider
Parawixia bistriata
The banded garden spider lives in shrubs, gardens, forest edges, and other vegetated habitats. It builds a web to intercept flying and crawling insects, then rushes out to wrap and bite captured prey. This species is notable for its banded abdomen and for its ability to live alongside other spiders in communal web sites.
