Stoat
Mustela erminea

Stoats hunt along hedgerows, rocky ground, marsh edges, and woodland, using dense cover to approach prey. They are agile predators that pursue rodents, rabbits, birds, and eggs, often entering tunnels after quarry. A stoat may store surplus food when hunting is successful. In northern populations, its coat can turn white in winter for camouflage against snow.
