Brown-chested Martin
Progne tapera
The Brown-chested Martin inhabits open country near rivers, wetlands, and banks where it can find cavities for nesting. It catches flying insects in swift aerial pursuits, often feeding high above the ground or water. Its habit of nesting in holes in earthen banks distinguishes it from many other swallows and martins.
