Cownose Ray
Rhinoptera bonasus

Cownose rays range through warm coastal bays, estuaries, and nearshore waters. They use their paired head fins to funnel water and uncover clams, oysters, crustaceans, and other bottom-dwelling prey. Adults are strong migrators and may travel long distances between seasonal feeding areas.
