Twotone Tang
Zebrasoma scopas
Twotone tangs inhabit coral reefs, lagoons, and reef slopes across the tropical Indo-Pacific. They spend much of the day grazing filamentous algae from rocks and dead coral. A sharp, retractable spine near the base of the tail can be used defensively when threatened.
