Kudzu Bug
Megacopta cribraria
Adult kudzu bugs inhabit fields, forest edges, and gardens where kudzu, soybeans, and other legumes grow. They feed on plant sap and can disperse between host plants on functional wings. When disturbed, the adult releases a strong-smelling chemical secretion from scent glands as a defense.
