Ashgray Blister Beetle
Epicauta fabricii

Adult ashgray blister beetles occur in dry grasslands, field margins, and other open vegetation where they feed on leaves and flowers. They walk through host plants and can fly to new feeding sites when disturbed. Like other blister beetles, adults contain cantharidin, a defensive chemical that can cause painful blisters in animals that handle or eat them.
