Gray Ratsnake
Pantherophis spiloides

Adult Gray Ratsnakes live in deciduous forests, wooded fields, barns, and rocky hillsides across eastern North America. They are skilled climbers that hunt rodents, birds, and eggs, subduing larger prey by constriction. Adults are nonvenomous and often become mostly gray or black, with their juvenile blotches fading greatly.
