Glossy Pillar
Cochlicopa lubrica

Glossy Pillars inhabit moist leaf litter, hedgerows, woodland floors, and damp gardens. They feed mainly on fungi, algae, and rotting vegetation, moving slowly along mucus-coated surfaces after rain or at night. The adult is recognized by its smooth, shiny, narrow cylindrical shell, which it can seal itself within for safety.
