Ormer
Haliotis tuberculata

Adult ormers inhabit rocky coastal reefs, often hiding in cracks during daylight and emerging to graze at night. They feed mainly on algae scraped from rock surfaces using a strong radula. When threatened, an ormer uses its broad muscular foot to clamp its shell tightly to the rock, making it extremely difficult to dislodge.
