Animalis is a real-world nature game: photograph the animals you find to capture them, then train, grow, and battle your team. If something isn't working or you have a question, the answers below cover the most common topics — and you can always email us directly.

Open the in-app camera and take a clear photo of the animal. Animalis identifies the real species and adds it to your encyclopedia. The closer and clearer the shot, the better the chance of a successful identification.
Make sure the animal is clearly in frame, well lit, and fills a good portion of the photo. Animalis can identify pets, livestock, and zoo animals, but only genuinely wild animals can be captured and added to your team — so wild wildlife works best. Photos of people, or photos of pictures, may not be recognised. Try again with a clearer shot.
Animalis needs location access to work. Check that location permission is enabled for Animalis in your device settings and that you have a data connection.
Visit a real-world place of worship (church, temple, or mosque) to heal your team for free at a Health Centre. Visit a real supermarket to find a Shop where you can stock up on Nets, Potions, and Revives.
Animalis is free to download, so you can always re-download it from the App Store or Google Play. Your game progress — and your subscription, if you have one — is stored with your account, and reinstalling on the same phone picks it straight back up. To make sure it also survives a lost, broken, or new phone, link your Apple or Google account in Settings → Account — then signing in on any device restores everything: your animals, items, Leaves, badges, and held gyms. If you've lost access to an account, email us at support@playanimalis.com.
