Snakelocks Anemone Juvenile
Anemonia viridis (juvenile)

The juvenile has settled onto rock in shallow coastal water and has begun growing its first short tentacles. It catches tiny drifting animals and organic particles with stinging cells, while remaining firmly attached to its chosen surface. Unlike the mobile planula, this stage is largely sedentary and develops its feeding crown gradually.
