American Badger Cub
Taxidea taxus (cub)

American badgers inhabit open grasslands, prairies, and agricultural areas where soil is loose enough for digging. They are mostly solitary and spend much of the day resting in deep burrows before hunting at night. Their diet includes ground squirrels, rodents, insects, eggs, and carrion. Powerful foreclaws allow an adult to excavate rapidly and retreat underground when threatened.
