Setaceous Hebrew Character
Xestia c-nigrum

Adults inhabit gardens, farmland, hedgerows, grasslands, and other open vegetated places. They fly chiefly after dark and visit flowers for nectar, while females lay eggs on suitable low plants. The forewings bear a distinctive dark marking resembling a Hebrew letter, giving this widespread noctuid moth its name.
