Pacific Black Duck
Anas superciliosa
Pacific Black Ducks inhabit swamps, lakes, rivers, coastal lagoons, and urban wetlands across much of Australasia. They feed mostly by dabbling for seeds, aquatic vegetation, insects, and small crustaceans. A distinctive dark eye-stripe and pale facial markings help identify this adaptable duck.
