Gang-gang Cockatoo Chick
Callocephalon fimbriatum (chick)

Gang-gang Cockatoo chicks develop in tree hollows within cool, forested regions of southeastern Australia. They remain dependent on their parents, giving persistent begging calls while being fed regurgitated seeds, fruits, and insects. As their feathers grow, chicks exercise their wings and clamber around the nest hollow. Their oversized bill begins developing early for the hard seeds they will later crack.
