Common Pipistrelle Pup
Pipistrellus pipistrellus (pup)

Common pipistrelle pups are born in warm maternity roosts, often in buildings, roof spaces, or tree crevices. At first they are tiny, poorly furred, and dependent on milk, clinging to the roost while the mother leaves to feed. They use high-pitched calls to help their mother locate them among other pups. Before they can fly, their main survival skills are gripping tightly, staying hidden in the roost, and growing quickly.
