Pom-pom Anemone
Liponema brevicorne

The adult pom-pom anemone lives on deep Pacific seafloors, where its soft, rounded form can grow exceptionally large. Its short tentacles trap zooplankton, detritus, and other edible material drifting within reach. Stinging cells on the tentacles immobilize prey and discourage animals that try to feed on it. Despite its massive size, it remains anchored in one place for most of its life.
