Adult Psocid Lice Larva
Psococerastis gibbosa (larva)
This tiny, wingless immature psocid lives beneath loose bark and among lichens on tree trunks. It crawls through sheltered crevices, grazing on fungal growth, algae, and other surface debris. Its mottled body coloration helps it disappear against bark, and it retreats quickly when disturbed.
