Kermode Bear
Ursus americanus kermodei

Kermode bears inhabit the moist coastal forests of British Columbia, often ranging along streams during salmon runs. They are omnivores that eat berries, plants, insects, fish, and occasional small animals. Despite being a black bear subspecies, some individuals carry two copies of a recessive gene that gives them a distinctive cream-coloured coat.
