Northern White-breasted Hedgehog Hoglet
Erinaceus roumanicus (hoglet)

A hoglet stays hidden in a grass-lined nest in scrub, woodland edge, garden, or farmland habitat. It is born blind and helpless, with pale soft spines that begin to harden soon after birth. Its early diet is entirely milk, though older hoglets begin nosing at small invertebrates as they follow the mother. A notable fact is that the mother may move the litter to a new nest if the original site is disturbed.
