Asian Black Bear
Ursus thibetanus

Asian black bears inhabit broadleaf and mixed forests across Asia, including foothills and mountain woodlands. They are mostly solitary omnivores that feed on fruit, nuts, insects, honey, and seasonal plant matter, though they may also take small animals or carrion. A pale crescent-shaped chest marking gives this species its familiar alternative name, the moon bear.
