Great Capricorn Beetle Pupa
Cerambyx cerdo (pupa)

The pupa rests inside a chamber near the surface of an old oak trunk, formed at the end of the larval tunnel. It does not feed or travel during this transformation, relying on its concealed position and protective outer skin. Adult features, including long antennae and wings, develop within the chamber before emergence.
