Blue Tit
Cyanistes caeruleus

The adult Blue Tit is a small, agile songbird of woods, gardens, orchards, and hedgerows across much of Europe and western Asia. It feeds on caterpillars, aphids, spiders, seeds, and fat-rich foods, often hanging upside down from twigs to reach hidden prey. In defence of a nest or feeding spot, it may scold, mob, peck, and make darting aerial passes at intruders. Despite its tiny size, it is notably bold and can learn to exploit feeders and nest boxes in human-dominated habitats.
