American Robin Hatchling
Turdus migratorius (hatchling)

Newly hatched American robins are naked, blind, and entirely dependent on warmth and food from their parents in an open cup nest. They respond to vibration and sound by gaping for regurgitated insects and soft invertebrates. Their main behavior is begging quietly and staying low in the nest to conserve heat. A notable fact is that their rapid growth begins within hours, with pinfeathers starting to appear after only a few days.
