American Robin
Turdus migratorius

Adult American robins live in open woodlands, parks, gardens, orchards, and suburban lawns across much of North America. They hunt by running, pausing, and listening or watching for earthworms and insects, while also eating many berries and fruits outside the breeding season. Adults defend territories with song, alarm calls, chases, pecks, wing strikes, and chest-to-chest clashes. A notable fact is that their familiar orange breast and early dawn song make them one of the most recognized thrushes on the continent.
