Tiger Cub
Panthera tigris (cub)
Bengal tiger cubs are born in hidden dens among tall grass, thick forest, or rocky shelter while the mother ranges nearby. They feed on milk at first, then begin tasting meat from kills brought by the mother. Cubs spend much of their time playing, pouncing, and wrestling, which builds the coordination needed for later hunting. Their striped coats already provide strong camouflage in broken light and vegetation.
