Moorish Wall Gecko Juvenile
Tarentola mauritanica (juvenile)

Juveniles range more widely over walls, ruins, tree trunks, and the outside of buildings while keeping close to crevices for escape. They feed on small moths, flies, spiders, and other invertebrates attracted to warm surfaces and lights. This stage is quicker and bolder than a hatchling but still avoids larger predators by flattening down and blending into rough backgrounds. Like adults, juveniles can shed the tail if seized, distracting an attacker while they flee.
