Northern Mockingbird Fledgling
Mimus polyglottos (fledgling)

A fledgling Northern Mockingbird has left the nest but still depends on its parents while it practices short flights and hopping through cover. It spends much of its time hidden in shrubs, low branches, and nearby lawns where adults continue to feed it insects and fruit. Its behavior is clumsy but alert, with fluttering wings, begging calls, and sudden dashes between perches. This vulnerable stage often looks abandoned, though the parents are usually nearby and watching closely.
