Northern Pacific Treefrog
Pseudacris regilla

The adult Northern Pacific treefrog lives in wet meadows, woodlands, gardens, marshes, and seasonal ponds across much of the Pacific coast region. It feeds on small insects and other invertebrates, catching them with quick jumps and a sticky tongue. Adults are excellent climbers with toe pads and can appear green, brown, gray, or mixed, often with a dark eye stripe. Males are famous for their loud two-part “ribbit” call, the classic frog sound often heard on spring nights near breeding water.
