Juvenile Cottonmouth
Agkistrodon piscivorus (juvenile)

Juveniles spend much of their time around shallow water, fallen branches, and muddy banks where small prey is abundant. Their diet expands to include larger frogs, fish, small snakes, and young rodents. The bright tail tip fades with age, and the snake increasingly depends on ambush and a bold warning display.
