Coypu Juvenile
Myocastor coypus (juvenile)

Young coypus are born well-furred and active, usually sheltered in bank burrows or dense wetland vegetation near slow rivers, marshes, and ponds. They begin feeding on tender aquatic plants, roots, and shoots while staying close to cover. Juveniles can swim at an early age, an important defense in habitats where banks and water meet. Their small size makes hiding and quick dives more important than direct confrontation.
