Asian Common Toad Tadpole
Duttaphrynus melanostictus (tadpole)

Lives in shallow still water such as ponds, roadside ditches, puddles, and rice fields. Feeds mostly by grazing algae, biofilm, and fine organic debris with small scraping mouthparts. It swims with a side-to-side tail motion and relies on water cover to escape predators. A notable feature is its ability to develop quickly in temporary pools before they dry out.
