Household Casebearer
Phereoeca uterella

The adult is a tiny moth often found resting on indoor walls or flying weakly in dim rooms and sheltered outdoor areas. It relies on short fluttering flight to find mates rather than on heavy feeding or forceful defense. Its narrow, fringed wings and muted brownish pattern help it avoid notice on household surfaces. The adult emerges from the larval case after pupation, leaving behind the small bag-like shelter that made the juvenile conspicuous.
