Horse
Equus caballus

Adult horses live in open pasture, grassland, steppe, and managed range where long sightlines help them detect danger early. They spend much of the day grazing on grasses and other low vegetation, with strong social behaviours that include grooming, displays, kicks, and rapid flight from threats. Their long limbs, large lungs, and powerful hindquarters make sustained running one of their main defenses. A notable fact is that the single hoof on each foot is an enlarged toe adapted for efficient travel over firm ground.
