Grey Seal Juvenile
Halichoerus grypus (juvenile)

Grey seal juveniles leave the breeding beach after weaning and learn to hunt in shallow coastal waters. They feed on small fish and other manageable prey while improving their diving and swimming skills. Juveniles are more vulnerable than adults and often haul out to rest between foraging trips. Their spotted grey coat becomes more adult-like as they grow.
