Oblong-winged Katydid Nymph
Amblycorypha oblongifolia (nymph)

This wingless juvenile lives among shrubs, meadow plants, and forest-edge foliage where its green body blends into fresh leaves. It feeds mostly by chewing tender leaves, flower parts, and other soft plant material. When disturbed, it relies on stillness, camouflage, and sudden jumps rather than flight. Like other katydid nymphs, it molts several times as wing pads and adult features develop.
