Jungle Nymph
Heteropteryx dilatata

The adult jungle nymph inhabits dense tropical forest vegetation, usually resting quietly on foliage by day. It is a nocturnal leaf-eater and uses its cryptic green body to blend into the plants it feeds upon. Large females are among the heaviest stick insects and can defend themselves with their spiny legs when handled.
