House Cricket Nymph
Acheta domesticus (nymph)

House cricket nymphs live in warm, sheltered places such as leaf litter, compost, barns, and cracks around buildings. They resemble small wingless adults and spend much of their time hiding, feeding on plant matter, fungi, crumbs, and other soft organic material. Their main defense is quick hopping and slipping into narrow crevices. A notable feature is their incomplete metamorphosis: each molt makes them look more adult-like rather than passing through a caterpillar or pupa stage.
