Galah
Eolophus roseicapilla

Galahs inhabit open woodland, grassland, farmland, and towns across much of Australia, often gathering where grass seeds are plentiful. They feed mainly on seeds, roots, bulbs, berries, and cultivated grains, using their strong curved bills to dig and husk food. Adults are highly social and spend much of the day foraging on the ground before flying to communal roosts. Their pink-and-grey plumage and raised crest make them among Australia’s most recognizable cockatoos.
