Rococo Toad
Rhinella diptycha

The Rococo Toad is a large, mostly nocturnal toad of open woodland, savanna, farmland, and urban edges across central and southern South America. It spends the day concealed in damp shelters or shallow burrows, emerging after rain to hunt insects, spiders, and other small animals. Its prominent skin glands produce potent bufotoxins, making it a dangerous meal for would-be predators.
