Rococo Toad Tadpole
Rhinella diptycha (tadpole)

Rococo Toad Tadpoles develop in temporary ponds, flooded ditches, and other still or slow-moving waters after heavy rains. They gather in dense schools, grazing algae, detritus, and microscopic organic material from the water. Their dark coloration and group swimming help reduce attention from aquatic predators. As they mature, they gradually absorb their tails and develop limbs for life on land.
