Eurasian Spoonbill Chick
Platalea leucorodia (chick)

Eurasian Spoonbill chicks remain in colonial nests in reedbeds, bushes, or trees near shallow wetlands. They are fed regurgitated fish, aquatic insects, and crustaceans by their parents, gradually developing the characteristic broad bill. A chick's bill is initially shorter and less spoon-shaped than an adult's, becoming broader as it grows.
